SUBMISSION Once you have completed entering data, press the SUBMIT button.  Once data has been reviewed by the District Superintendent, press the APPROVE button. Press the PRINT button to make a copy for your files.

DUE DATE The "Assessed Valuation And Levies Report" is due on or before October 15th. NOTE:  State law imposes financial penalities (the withholding of State Aid) on school districts failing to meet the filing deadlines for this report (see 79-528 R.R.S.)

AREA, ASSESSED VALUATION, AND HIGH SCHOOL DISTANCE The names and numbers of each county in which existing NDE records show the district has valuation have been prepopulated from the prior year.  If the district has valuation in a county that was not prepopulated, contact the Department. If this district is geographically situated in more than one county, each county's portion of the total valuation and area in square miles must be reported separately.

ASSESSED VALUATION Report the district's final assessed valuation that was used in setting or certifying the school district's general fund levy for the current year by county by clicking on the EDIT button.  Enter the assessed valuation and click the UPDATE button to update the system.

HIGH SCHOOL DISTANCE The high school distance has been prepopulated with information provided in the prior year.  If there has been a change to the high school distance, click on the EDIT button and enter to the nearest tenth of a mile, the distance between the high school attendance center and the next closest high school attendance center on paved roads.  Once the high school distance has been entered, click on the UPDATE button to update the system.  For merged or new districts, High School Distance will be 0.  Click on the EDIT button to enter High School Distance, then the UPDATE button to update the system.

AREA IN SQUARE MILES (nearest tenth) The area within each county has been prepopulated based on information provided in the prior year.  If the district's area has changed due to any type of boundary change, please indicate the current area in square miles to the nearest tenth within each county by clicking on the EDIT button.  Once the edit has been made, click the UPDATE button to update the system.

LEVY/LEVIES Enter the total levy for each fund by clicking on the EDIT button.  Enter the total levy for each fund and click the UPDATE button to update the system.  The total levy must be calculated using the total tax request and should match the levies published in your Tax Request Hearing Notice. Failure to complete this section correctly will impact the current year State Aid distribution.
